Golf.
A round of golf is four hours outdoors, with friends, chasing the perfect shot. This project starts from a simple question: what would a golfer like to have to enjoy it fully, without being weighed down?
What the golfer wants
Six wishes, one round.
Find your ball
Know straight away where it landed, even in the rough, and walk there without losing time or balls.
Improve your swing, simply
Clear feedback after the shot and one tip at a time, rather than an avalanche of figures.
Keep score
A scorecard that fills itself in, with the total and score to par always up to date.
Stay on top of the weather
Wind hole by hole, turned into club advice, and an alert before a shower or a storm.
See your friends’ cards
Follow everyone’s round, the live leaderboard, and share a great shot.
Stay 100% in your game
Nothing to take out of your pocket between shots: your mind on the game and on the chat with your partners.
The AI coach
A discreet playing companion.
The idea: an AI-based coach that handles all of this for the player. It keeps track of the ball, the score, the weather and friends’ rounds, and only speaks up when it is useful. The golfer stays focused on the game and on their partners.
In pictures
What the golfer could experience.
Six moments on the course: a question you ask yourself, and the answer that comes, without taking anything out of your pocket. The scenes play one after the other; pick one to watch it again.
- The shot heads right, into the rough.
- “Where’s my ball?”
- And there it is: 162 m away, hidden in the grass.
- The golfer walks straight to it, no searching.
- The swing goes… and the ball veers right.
- “Why does it go right?”
- The coach offers one simple tip.
- The ball drops into the hole.
- “What’s my score?”
- The card fills itself in: 4 strokes, +2 overall.
- A cloud rolls in, the flag snaps in the wind.
- “Is it going to rain?”
- Shower in 40 min, shelter at hole 12.
- And the wind becomes advice: one more club.
- Sam is playing further ahead.
- “How’s Sam doing?”
- The leaderboard appears: Sam just made a birdie.
- Two friends walk and chat.
- Nothing interrupts them.
- The coach only speaks at the right moment.
- Everything else can wait until the round is over.
Figures and names are examples.
The approach
From wishes to the first round.
- 01
Listen to golfers
List what really spoils a round and what would make it better, with players of every level.
- 02
Review what exists
Scoring, distance, weather and swing-analysis solutions: what they do well, and what is missing to bring it all together.
- 03
Design the AI coach
An assistant that brings it all together, knows when to speak and when to stay quiet, and learns from each player’s game.
- 04
Test on the course
Play real rounds with friends, measure what really helps, and adjust.
Points of attention
What must be respected.
- The rules of golf. In competition, advice and some aids are restricted: the coach will have to stay quiet when the rules require it.
- The pace of play. The tool must save time on the course, never cost other players time.
- Personal data. Scores, location and playing habits are personal data: everyone must know where they go and what is shared with friends.
Progress
Being analysed and developed.
The system that will make all of this possible is being analysed, developed and thought through. It is presented in the private area.
